I only disagree with one point: there IS no human being hiding within a narcissist. It’s a personality disorder, not mental illness. It cannot be cured. Narcissism is what defines them- they are simply empty vessels devoid of conscience punishing those around them for possessing the human qualities they themselves lack.

Run screaming. These people are DANGEROUS.
